Dan Shikiar – Managing Director
Mr. Shikiar is a seasoned professional with proven B2B and B2C sales, marketing, and business development experience. Prior to leading Dynamic Business Strategies (DBS), Mr. Shikiar had started and sold Denver-based Eye-Opener Espresso, was a top regional salesperson for Auto-Chlor Colorado (a subsidiary of Unilever), and most recently held senior positions with Decisioneering and Palisade Corporation - two privately held software companies in the risk-analysis and business intelligence sector.
As Vice President of Corporate Sales for Denver-based Decisioneering, Mr. Shikiar closed some of the largest deals in company history, and was instrumental in Decisioneering’s three year rise on Deloitte & Touche’s “Fast 50” list of fastest-growing technology companies in Colorado; during Mr. Shikiar’s 3 1/2 year tenure, Decisioneering grew its revenues by 185% in 1998, 353% in 1999, and 443% in 2000. Decisioneering was acquired by Oracle in 2007.
As Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Palisade Corporation, Mr. Shikiar was credited with transforming the company from a small, catalog operation with one office in upstate New York to a market leader in the risk and decision analysis software space. Mr. Shikiar overhauled the company's sales and marketing strategies, replaced its pricing and licensing models with more customer-centric and profitable solutions, expanded the company’s global presence by opening regional offices in Denver, London and Sydney, launched a successful internal services division, established numerous strategic partnerships and industry alliances, closed the five largest sales in company history, and was considered by many to be the driving factor in Palisade doubling its revenues in just four years.
As Managing Director of DBS, Mr. Shikiar uses his background and experience in evangelizing complex products, solutions and technologies to help DBS' clients increase sales revenues, expand market penetration, build brand awareness and identify successful business development strategies.
Mr. Shikiar graduated with honors from the University of California at San Diego with a B.A. in Communications in 1993.
John Hagen - Managing Partner
Mr. Hagen brings over 15 years of senior level sales and marketing experience to Dynamic Business Strategies. Prior to joining DBS, Mr. Hagen's background was related to several areas within the financial services industry, including business development, sales management, and business analysis positions.
With DBS he has assisted clients with solutions that address significant issues from strategy through execution. Mr. Hagen has extensive high level B2B sales, marketing, and branding experience, and brings tangible results to our clients through collaboration, development and implementation of growth strategies, and improved operations. Mr. Hagen's primary areas of focus for DBS include Sales Strategy Creation and Execution, Business Strategy Integration, Customer Relationship Optimization, and Operational Agility.
Mr. Hagen's career includes senior level roles with Deluxe Corporation, eFunds, First Financial Inc., Morgan Stanley, and CreditWatch Services.
Mr. Hagen possesses a BA in Marketing from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Julie Dillon - Marketing Communications Director
Ms. Dillon brings a diverse and broad range of marketing talents and skills with ten years' prior work experience that includes marketing, graphic design, sales, database management and project coordination. Ms. Dillon's marketing expertise stems from
real-world sales experience and an in-depth understanding of the sales process, which aids in developing effective, common
sense marketing concepts.
Ms. Dillon transitioned from outside sales to marketing in 2000 where she was hired on as Marketing Coordinator for United
Construction Products a was responsible for a wide range of marketing duties: market research, budgeting, marketing dollar
accountability, designing magazine ads and printed materials, creating a functional, lead generating website, producing and
coordinating materials needed for Trade Shows and managing the company database in ACT.
More recently, Ms. Dillon served as a marketing consultant performing duties that included design and layout of printed
marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations and video production and editing. She assisted clients by performing market
research, developing marketing messages and helped determine target market "hot buttons".
As our Marketing Specialist, Ms. Dillon's expertise encompasses a vast range of services that includes writing marketing and
technical content, designing marketing materials, managing printing and CD-Rom replication projects, coordinating fulfillment
and managing client information in contact-record-management software. She takes a detailed approach that facilitates
top-quality results for our clients.
Ms. Dillon graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, with a B.S. in Economics and minor in Business in 1991.
She was an athletic Scholarship recipient, received the Four Year Letter Award and was Captain of the track and cross-country
teams.
Rob Danish - Director of Business Development
Mr. Danish is a seasoned software business development executive; specializing in capturing market share, developing sales channels, and creating strategic marketing and sales plans, for early stage technology companies. Mr. Danish has over 15 years experience in business development, primarily in the business intelligence, network infrastructure, and GIS industries.
Mr. Danish founded Decisioneering UK, Ltd., in 1999. Decisioneering UK, Ltd., a subsidiary of Decisioneering Inc., was created to expand market share in Europe and the Middle East for Decisioneering’s suite of Risk/Decision Analysis software. Mr. Danish increased EMEA sales by over 300% in three years while serving as Managing Director. The primary markets served were oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, government, and aerospace. Mr. Danish has a strong understanding of project risk management, providing risk analysis tools and training for companies such as Bechtel, ABB, and Halliburton.
Mr. Danish has also served as National Accounts Executive for QC Data, Inc. a global GIS consulting firm. Mr. Danish had revenue responsibility for North America in the telecommunications and investor owned utilities markets and was responsible for generating over $7 million USD in contracts during his tenure.
More recently, Mr. Danish was Business Development Director for Telecommunications, CATV, and Broadband for MapFrame Corporation. Mr. Danish created strategic marketing and sales plans, and negotiated industry partnerships, to enable MapFrame to successfully penetrate the telecommunications vertical market, with its suite of mobile mapping and field workforce automation software.
Mr. Danish has a BS in Finance (Cum Laude) from Minnesota State University, and an MBA from the University of Denver.
Josh Graham – Marketing Research Manager
Mr. Graham has over eight years of experience in the marketing industry and specializes in written communications of all types. Prior to joining Dynamic Business Strategies, Mr. Graham worked for Anthem Behavioral Health where he developed proposal responses that helped Anthem win numerous contracts from both government and private entities. He then moved to a position at Qwest Communications as a member of the Worldwide Network Operations team, where he was responsible for developing policies and procedures. Most recently Mr. Graham worked for the Mortgage Capital Division of Lehman Brothers Bank creating technical marketing collateral, policies and procedures that supported internal software releases.
Mr. Graham possesses a Masters of Business Administration degree with
a Marketing emphasis from the University of Colorado at Denver and
a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Nebraska
at Kearney.
